Virginia Tech senior Antonio Lopez Segura, representing Spain, took third in the men's elite 3,000 meters in 7:49.03 at the Camel City Invitational at JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, N.C. Lopez Segura achieved the fastest collegiate performance in meet history and became one of seven male competitors all-time at Camel City to produce a sub-7:50 effort. It marked the first time in meet history, there were three athletes under 7:50 in the same race.
